Sequoia sempervirens 'Soquel' has a fine texture, bluish-green foliage, little suckering and branches grow horozontally or slightly downward , then arch upwards. Sequoias are native from Oregon south to Monterey Co. in CA, occuring never far from the sea and its attendant summer fog.
