Description:
A large, mounding manzanita to 6' tall and 10' wide. It has zigzagging trunks, that are hairy and heavily red tinged when young. Clusters of rosy pink flowers appear in late winter. Its leaves are a rich reddish brown when young and turn bluish with age. This mass of color is a show stopper. Selected by Walter Knight from Monterey County, it prefers sun and is drought tolerant.
