A very low, trailing herb found growing in shady places under shrubs and trees from Los Angeles Co. to British Columbia. Makes a pretty groundcover in the shade garden and is also nice spilling over a wall or container. It will take sunny sites with plenty of water, but generally looks better in the shade. Tiny white flowers will bloom from April to September. The shiny green leaves make an excellent soothing tea.
