Iris sp Common Name: PCH-Iris Size: 1-h x 1'w Sun: Sun-pt. shd H20: Occ.H2O/dry Bred from a variety of wild iris, this plant likes light shade and a well-drained soil with some organic matter. It will grow to about 1' and spreads, the rhizomes should be divided every 3 to 5 years. It is drought tolerant in light shade in a cool climate, in hot inland areas it will appreciate some summer water. As in general iris culture, clean the area around plants of debris and trim dead and spent leaves once a year, preferably in late fall.
