A pretty and reliable grass, Tufted Hair Grass forms a mound of about 18", from which its flowers rise to about 2'. Unlike most of our native grasses, Tufted Hair Grass requires summer water to thrive. If you have a moist spot, in sun or light shade, it will reward you with delicate tawny golden seed heads in late summer and graceful, bright green foliage the rest of the year.
