Botanic Name:
Triteleia laxa 'Queen Fabiola'
Common Name:
Ithuriel's Spear
Size: 18"h x 1'w
Sun: Sun
H20: Summer dry
Description:
This bulb, common to the coast ranges from Oregon to San Bernadino County, is one of our easiest to grow. It does well in sun or light shade, multiplying rapidly in heavy clay soils. This selection was made for its large dark blue, agapanthus-like, flowers that arrive in middle spring. Ithuriel's spear is excellent when mixed with some of our smaller native grasses in a meadow or as an accent.
