Ribes malvaceum 'Barrie Coate' Common Name: Chaparral Currant Size: 8'h x 6'w Sun: Sun H20: Occ.H2O/dry
This dark pink, almost red currant was found by Barrie Coate near the Geysers in Sonoma County. This selection grows to about 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide. The flowers are a beautiful deep red which bloom from February through March. It tolerates full sun and infrequent watering.
