This showy evergreen shrub grows to 4 feet tall and wide with a graceful arcing habit. It has glossy foliage and is covered in profuse tubular scarlet flowers in spring, with a smattering of blooms the rest of the year. Hummingbirds love the flowers, and the foliage is a larval food source for our local Checkerspot butterfly. Native to the Channel Islands. It does well in tough immediate coastal conditions. Prune occasionally for denser growth.
