Shrub from San Diego County. This one is taller than most Monkey Flowers, sometimes reaching 6 ft. The flowers range from deep orange to dark red, and are borne prolifically during summer. This tough shrub tends to be open and leggy. Pinching will help, but won't make it a dense bush. Can be cut back to rejuvenate at end of summer. Grow in full or part sun, occasional water.
