Botanic Name:
Heuchera micrantha 'Martha Roderick'
Common Name:
Small-Flowered Alum Root
Size: 1'h x 1'w
Sun: pt. shd
H20: occ.H2O/moist
Description:
Common in moist shaded areas especially on stream banks. Excellent in rock gardens, terraces, slopes or borders. Tall plumes of pink flowers bloom spring to late fall on stems up to 3' high. Purple-veined foliage remains neat all year. Plants want loose, well drained soil and, though quite drought tolerant, would like an occasional watering in hotter, inland gardens. This selection was named for the mother of former head of Tilden Botanic Garden, Wayne Roderick.
