Description:
A beautiful deciduous tree, the Quaking Aspen is noticeable because the ovate leaves seem always to be moving, even in the lightest breeze. The tree is usually slender to 40' tall. Aspens are found mostly on moist slopes and in canyons with well-drained soils. In the far north and in high mountain spots they may grow as pure stands.
