Description:
This nightshade is a low growing shrub with branched hairs on the stems. It will form umbellate clusters of bluish flowers that are quite showy in mid spring. In dry areas it is summer decidious and should be planted in a mixed border with shrubs that have durable, all-year leaves. It requires good drainage and in colder areas, a site that will recieve winter sun. Nightshade is found mainly in northern and central California.
