Description:
This pretty local native makes a lovely addition to a woodland garden with its soft green foliage, pink flowers, and occasional white fall fruit. Creeping Snowberry generally stays under a foot tall and spreads underground (though not aggressively) to 3 or 4 feet around. A nice foil for delicate ferns and shade-loving perennials such as Columbine, Wood Fern, Iris, and Sword Fern. Besides lending a delicate air to a shaded site, it is also excellent for erosion control. Deer resistant, and deciduous.
