Description:
A highly variable species, native to Florida, Mexico, Central and South America and the West Indies. Well known in cultivation and very easy to grow. Excellent for hanging baskets. Can be grown in the ground if given very good drainage and not overwatered. In the Bay Area, you can grow plants outdoors most of the year and bring indoors during the winter months. As with most ferns, give plenty of good light but avoid direct sun. In a pot, this fern prefers its soil MOIST.
