Description:
The Mountain Garland's native habitat is from the Coast Range hills, Mendocino County to Southern California and in the Sierra Nevada hills. This annual grows to 4' tall and has flowers in pink, red and purple. Blooming time is late spring. It tolerates sun or shade and if given supplemental water will bloom for months. Mountain Garland is good at the back of a border and is useful to discourage weeds due to its hieght and heavy reseeding. The flowers are long lasting when cut.
