Description:
This is one of our most prized perennials from the shady depths of both Redwood, and Oak forests. Though it is found in a variety of colors our plants came from a dark burgundy form. The Wake Robin will do well in a shady garden with moderate moisture all year . An old clump may bear more than a dozen flowering stalks. A single showy flower arises from the middle of the leaves in mid spring and is followed by a six-ridged seed pod. Fall/ winter dormant.
