Botanic Name:
Mimulus 'Valentine'
Common Name:
Monkeyflower
Size: 3'h x 3'w
Sun: Sun-pt. shd
H20: Occ.H2O/dry
Description:
One of our most popular hybrid Monkeyflowers due to its bright valentine red flower, glossy green foliage, and long blooming period. Cutting the plants back and watering after flowering will encourage another flush of blooms. Plant in sun or dappled shade and water occasionally. Likes being under oaks, although it can 'stretch' a bit. Always cut Monkeyflowers back to a foot or less each March; this produces a longer lived, bushier plant.
