Description:
Native to coastal areas of Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties, this is a decumbent shrub, growing to about 2 feet high and with a potential spread to about 9 feet or more. It is an excellent groundcover forming a loosely interwoven mat. New growth is an attractive gray-bronze. The large clusters of waxy, pale-pink flowers appear in January or February. It tolerates both high filtered shade and full sun and does best with at least one mid-summer watering. Monthly watering recommended in interior valleys.
