California Buckwheat

Description:
This narrow leaved Buckwheat is a member of the Coastal scrub community, often found on bluffs. It has adapted to withstand the wind and salt of the shoreline, but also does well away from the coast provided it gets sun, good drainage, and little or no extra water. Should remain about 24 inches tall and 3 feet wide. Buckwheats are excellent for erosion control, as well as attracting beneficial insects to your garden.
