Description:
Mountain Alder is found in the Sierra Nevada along streams and in moist places. Generally an upright, multitrunked plant with nice gray bark, bright green foliage, and winter cones and catkins for year round appeal. A plant best suited for an area with a natural source water, its vigorous roots can wreak havoc with underground pipes.
