Description:
This perennial of the Iris family produces a profusion of blue 1/2" wide flowers atop a compact clump of slender leaves. It can be found growing in open, moist grassy areas and woodlands at elevations below 7000'. It looks at home in a meadow growing with native bunch grasses and annual wildflowers. A spring bloomer, its season can be extended with additional water, but do consider that it is drought tolerant.
