Botanic Name:
Mimulus 'Trish'
Common Name:
Monkeyflower
Size: 3h x 3w
Sun: sun-part shade
H20: occ.H2O/dry
Description:
Mimulus 'Trish' has large rose pink flowers and glossy dark green leaves. The tradeoff for these hybrids' large blooms and lush appearance is reduced drought tolerance - once a week to at least once a month watering is necessary in summer. They also tend to favor a partly shaded situation. One of the showiest natives for a perennial bed or container, hybrid Mimulus reach about 3 by 3 feet and flower profusely. To maintain a compact habit, cut back to half the size when plants begin to push new growth in spring.
