Like most other native sages, the 'Amethyst Bluff' Sage prefers full sun, infrequent watering, and good drainage, although it will take heavy soils on a slope. Excellent for bees and hummingbirds. Nice as a foreground with other chaparral natives, like Ceanothus, Flannelbush, and Deer Grass.
