Description:
Wood Mint is a pretty pink flowered perennial that can be seen blooming in woods and coastal areas around the Bay Area in Spring and Summer. With a flower and scent similar to its relatives the Sages, it is very showy and deer resistant. Its flowering stalks will reach 4 feet tall, and it will spread in time to form a little patch. It is very drought tolerant, but will bloom longer with a little extra water. Great under oaks, and a nice combination with Snowberry, Hound's Tongue, and Iris.
