Bred by Joe Ghio, this native Iris hybrid has a deep crimson flower edged with gold. Like most Coast Hybrid Iris, it likes full sun on the coast and light shade inland, with a compost-rich soil and occasional summer water. It is also extremely hardy, as are most native Iris. Clumps will grow to 18 inches tall and 2 to 3 feet wide, and can be divided in the fall to rejuvenate the plant.
