Mimulus clevelandii
Common Name:
Monkeyflower
Size: 3'h x 3'w
Sun: sun-pt. shd
H20: occ.H2O/dry
Description:
Cleveland's Monkeyflower is an uncommon species native to the Peninsular Mountains of Southern California. Bright green foliage and a yellow flower as vivid as any shrubby Mimulus make it a showy choice for a spot with plenty of sun, good drainage and a little summer water. This species is not as bushy as most Monkeyflowers, so we suggest planting among grasses or other low plants that the flowers can be enjoyed spilling over.
