This British selection of a native Wild Lilac hybrid has been grown since 1960, making it a proven garden-worthy plant. 'Blue Mound' features a compact growth habit and profuse, bright blue flowers in late spring. Drought tolerant along the coast, it should be given occasional summer water inland. This selection often shows a few flowers again in the fall. Hardy to 15 degrees.
